Old Yellow Roses

This is one of a three resulting photos that came out of my flashlight photo shoot with a bouquet of roses.

What made these roses special to photograph using my new love of flashlight photography is the age and texture of these roses. I gave these roses to my wife about 2 years ago and they have been sitting in our bedroom since. What is amazing is that they dried up and maintained their color but transformed with the most beautiful old dusty texture. They are so brittle that I had to handle them with such care to set them up for their shoot.

Other than photo parameter settings adjustments and a few touchups of some minor un-natural blemishes, this is almost a RAW PHOTO - no manipulation or layering of filters.
